Welcome to the third dimension! On this site you will learn everything about Nintendo's Virtual Reality experiment, the Virtual Boy. Released back in 1995 only in Japan and North America, the system failed all along the line and disappeared from the market less than a year later, quietly and without any official word. Only 22 games were released for the Virtual Boy during its short lifespan. Here we want to build a memorial for this unique oddity of videogame history. Dedicated to its brilliant creator, Gunpei Yokoi.

New Virtual Boy ;)

We have confirmed information that Nintendo is busy working on a successor of the Virtual Boy! It will have 2 high-resolution-color-displays and a 500 MHz CPU. The known launchtitles (launch fall 2000) are Mario Clash 2 and Zelda VB from Nintendo, and Virtual Skat from the newcomer Sloof Lirpa.
New on planetVB today are the manualscans of Virtual League Baseball and Mario Clash US.

Today we bring you a nice little toy. now you can choose yourself which backgroundsound you want to hear! Beside that the manualsscan of 3D Tetris and a lot of new sounds of 3D Tetris, VB Wario Land, Red Alarm, Vertical Force & Panic Bomber are new. Yup, DrAetzn really did a great job today :)

New scans

Today we added the scan of Mario's Tennis US manual and a scan of the Red Alarm demo cartridge. Thanks again to Brandon Tabassi, who gave us the scan!
