misalignment question

Recently I was playing with my VB and I felt sort of dizzy. It's hard to explain, but I felt like I couldn't focus, especially when everything was moving fast (I was playing wario land and red alarm). After about 5 minutes of playing each, my eyes felt strained out. I was reading the manual for the virtual boy and it said that if one felt dizzy while playing, it could be that the virtual boy is out of alignment. My question is. How obvious will it be if it is? I did the button combination to see the vertical lines passing through the horizontal lines test, and they seemed to pass through each other. But it still doesn't convince me. I wonder if it's possible that it's slightly out of alignment and that's why it strains my eyes, but it's not completely out of alignment that it's obvious. I just recently got a virtual boy, so that's why I'm confused about the ins and the outs of the system.

Probably not so much outta alignment, as outta focus. Play with both settings while viewing a game until it feels right. If one of the settings is perturbing you, making the setting worse will be noticeable...

What is your body position? Most of us don't like sitting hunched over a table, it's most popular laying down with heads propped up on a pillow, the vb resting on our faces. That's the way I play it...

Also make sure the inter-pupil distance (IPD) is set correctly. This is most often the cause of eye strain, and even occurs with the Nintendo 3DS if you hold that device the wrong distance from your eyes.

On the screen with the Virtual Boy logo, there are four "VB" squares in the corners of the screen. Looking directly at the Virtual Boy logo itself, those four corner squares should look like they form a rectangle. If they form a trapezoid of any kind, then your IDP setting is incorrect and you risk a high likelihood of eye strain.

I see. I usually set up like the instructions say I should. The thing I find weird is that I have to have the focus slider all the way to the left so it will not look blurry. I guess that must be normal for my eyesight.

But I still wonder.

How do you know if your virtual boy is misaligned? Will it be obvious? I've heard that if the alignment line test is barely crossing the bars, then it could still be considered misaligned and could cause headaches.
I'm mostly wondering these things because I am wondering if I need to look into how to repair it if it is misaligned as I highly doubt nintendo would help me out.
I can already imagine it. they'd probably deny the system exists.
