Zelda VBOY 3D mock-up

this is a quick mock-up I created.
To view the 3D cross your eyes to put the images together.

This idea has already been spread around alot, and I would like to know if this would be possible on a VBOY.

do you think it would fit on the cartridge?
for some reason I dont think it would, as there isn't much room on them.
(unless you are using a large cartridge)

I doubt LttP would fit on a VB cart (It's my favorite Zelda game though.) Besides, It'd be very hard to port. I'd be thinking more in the range of LA or even just original LoZ.

Oh, I just noticed, nice 3D effect. If only the real LttP were like that. :)

It would be nice to have Link on the VB. Would you make your own zelda game or port A Link to the Past or something else? Just curious

I don't see why LttP wouldn't fit on a cart... it fit on an SNES cart, and I believe it was 8 mbits... that's the size of most of the VB carts. There were also 16 mbit carts released, and 32 mbit carts could have been done with just a simple swap of the mask ROM on the board. The system actually supports up to 128 mbits, although finding that size ROM might be pretty tough.

I'd guess even though you'd need more graphics for the 3D effect, since the VB is only 2bpp (4 shades of red), you'd probably need less room for graphics since the SNES had more available colors (I don't know what it is for sure, maybe 8bpp).

But yeah, that would be REALLY cool, but like I said... it's a LOT of work to make a game, so getting someone to create that would be a HUGE task.

if anyone ever tries to start a vb zelda project, here's a mock up hud i once made. it is based on the idea to use the right d-pad for items just like the n64's c buttons in ocarina of time or majora's mask. :)

wow we should deff start up a zelda project i dont know much about programing or w/e but i would definatly help out anyways possible
