HyperFlash 32 default label set (e-ink screen)

Hello everyone!

I was contacted by "mellott124" who asked me if wanted to create a default set of labels for the HyperFlash 32, which I gladly did. My plan was to create a set for the officially released games anyway.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about, please see the "HyperFlash eInk Label Art Contest" thread in this forum.

You'll be able to follow my process in this thread.

The basic idea behind the labels:
- It should be easy to identify the game.
- The design should look clean and be coherent.
- A (somewhat) homage to the old american box design.
- Fun and true to my own vision.

It's really great to be a part of this great project! I will do my best to make these as awesome as I can. If you don't like them in the end, I guess you can always switch them out ;)

Please feel free to feedback and comment.
Thanks Kevin for trusting me with this!

To start these off, here's a comparison between the Panic Bomber and the Space Invader designs I did for the competition and the ones I recently tweaked (200% size). Old to the left.

I'll go over these two (and the rest) at least one time more when they are all done.

EDIT: Make sure you click the image for full size.

Thanks Mumphy!

Great work on the labels. The idea here is to have a coherent set of default labels for released games. I think this will also help people who are less technically inclined and may not be as comfortable switching labels or creating their own. And as Mumphy said, you can replace them if you'd like.

Part of the idea of HyperFlash is to allow customization; if you're compelled to do so. So far this includes being able to switch out labels and update firmware with future releases. I'm also thinking about allowing font table updates but details are still TBD on that one.

That's great and a good choice for the default labels IMHO. I like these. :-)

Just one remark: the L shaped block on the V-Tetris label is wrong, it should consist of only 4 of these small squares.

@mellott124: Thanks! I've attached the updated labels as .bmp files. Whenever you have time (no stress), could you please check on the e-ink screen. It will be helpful and if needed I'll tweak depending on your feedback, mainly if they are too dark or too light.

@KR155E: Thank you for the kind words and I have to say, the designs you posted in the competition thread are really great. Some high quality artwork for sure.

Great catch with the L-block! Haha, this is exactly why I post these here. If you have any more feedback/critique on the already existing labels or on the ones I will create, please don't hesitate.

Kevin sent me some photos of the labels on the e-ink screen. The Teleroboxer one with the hand is too dark I think so I will need to tweak that one. Perhaps the version with the cracked screen should actually be the default one. I think that design is more fun.

I'll have a new design ready soon.

@tydyedsyko: I agree. Let's go with the cracked one as default and for now I won't spend time on the other one.

@mellott124: Here's a couple of labels I've been working on. I consider these WIP, and it would be cool if you could see how these look on the e-ink screen, before I continue tweaking them.

Hope you guys like them (200% size).

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also did a small update to the background plate on the template part of the label. I think it makes it less chaotic and cluttered.
