That’s actually the one for SNES, the one for NES is shaped differently.

I used to own the 1990 nintendo world championship cart. I actually got it back in 1990 when I was a kid and grew up with it in my game collection never knowing what it really was till I was like in my mid 20s, then I sold it like an idiot : /

As a member of a Virtual Boy community there's probably a chance that you might like other obscure gaming items as well. I thought it'd be fun if we shared our cool stuff that is obscure, but isn't VB related :)

Pretty cool video! I've never been lucky enough to be on the cutting edge of some prototype discovery but there's always hope for the future :p

I'll poke around my collection and see what weird stuff I have. Probably just "rare" items but nothing too unheard of.

Dude, you should post it anyway. Even if it isn't a prototype or something there's still other cool uncommon stuff out there. I love seeing it all!

I forgot about this thread actually, gonna add something..

This is a Game Axe, it's a true famiclone system but put into a portable, so it's compatible with even the Famicom Disk System if I had one. It was released around the year 2000 in obscure shops in Japan, and as such it's really uncommon.
Mines sort of halfway through repair, waiting for some parts in the mail. The CFL tube in the screen was broken when I got it, but I've since repaired that. Just the controller needs to be repaired now, although games like Gradius and Bomberman play perfectly with just turbo controls :p

Never heard of that one, looks pretty neat. What's wrong with the controller on it anyway? (I'm watching at work and had to keep the volume low, maybe you mentioned it heh...).

I like those handheld full console systems, my Nomad is just begging for some kind of mod.

The controller is a bit buggered, the right side of the pad (A, B, Start Select and the turbo buttons) only work when a turbo button is held in...

It's either a trace that goes to the power LED, or there's a chip on the controller board that controls everything that may be bad. Waiting for parts in the mail to try either fix.

I hope it works out 👍

I'm off for the next few days so as I pull stuff out to work on or sell, I'll try to upload some obscure pics...

I don't have any prototypes but I did manage to find an old Nintendo Roulette game from the mid 60s and a trophy for selling SNES/Genesis copies of Primal Rage. Other than those two items, I have a Mattel Microvision, the rumble pak version of Super Mario 64, and a Chinese bootleg version of Dragon Ball Z: Goku Hishoden for the Game Boy.

Doesn't have to be prototypes, anything obscure is cool to see!

I didn't even know about the rumble version of SM64, I know they re-released Wave Race but somehow I missed SM64.
