Power Glove?!? How would that work? I actually have one (on display, of course :) ) but I don't see how I could use it to interface with my PC in a useful way. Now I'm curious though.

If anyone is also interested in a Nintendo Power Glove version, I'll have those in about 2-3 weeks as well. Housing already designed.

Well for years (15+) I've had PG to USB or serial adapters which just spit the data out to a COM port. Then people wrote their own code to map to whatever they wanted to.

This version will map PG to a gamepad like the VB adapter. Ultrasonic tracking x,y,z to gamepad analog x,y,z. Fingers to analog. Everything else to digital buttons. Then it's up to your application to map it to something. It should be easier to use than my past PG adapters assuming applications with gamepad support.

I seriously can't contain my excitement! I'm also praying to the Virtual Boy gods that my stuff doesn't get lost in the mail like my Jack Bros. did (still trying to remain hopeful it still shows up as per the advice of the gentlemen here).

I got mine on the 29th, I think. It's a solid piece, doesn't feel fragile at all. Grips the controller male end very firmly. I think it uses a micro USB B. At first I thought I'd have to go get a cable for it, but my phone uses the same thing. :-D After plugging that in, I found it worked right off the bat for most applications. There's a Virtual Boy-related program I have that it didn't initially work for, but XPadder got it working without any fuss. It even works without batteries. There really are no other controllers with the same layout as a VB controller, so this is the best option.

For those of you who want to use XPadder, you can use these attached images I edited to look nice and work for it. One is full color, the other saves a few KB by using a 256-color palette (in case 30 KB matters to you, LOL).

Thanks for the review!

Also remember there are 3 different mappings. Hold A or B button down (not both) while plugging in the USB cable and you'll get some different mapping options. No buttons held down at power up of the adapter maps everything as a digital button.

If the application allows remapping of inputs then you should never have a problem as its a Windows Gamepad. However for those applications that don't, XPadder looks like a great option!

Built another batch of these last night. This will probably be the last set for a while. Still a few left if anyone is interested.

And a Power Glove one just for fun! Tracker as X,Y, with Z as slider bar. Fingers mapped to analog as well. Normal gamepad buttons on the wrist pad as digital buttons and the numbers mapped to equivalent keyboard buttons. Adjustable options via virtual COM port.

I went a bit thick on the housing walls so its large but bomb proof.
