So Sorry! I have in the past sold off bit and pieces of my collection as well, it does hurt but I was ok with it. I kept the things I had fun playing the most. Collecting just to look at something that is rare is great. But the chase, to me is more fun. Trying to buy back or locate things I once had can be a bummer. But I like it better than when I had it ALL! Nothing left to hunt for if you have it all! Besides you know how it feels to have all the Virtual boy stuff I assume? You are one of the few in the world, You can never sell your love for the system and that's whats important! Keep the things you have fun playing the most and sell the ones thats you can do without. With me, I like the VB fishing game, I owned it for years but after a while fishing bores me. I Had to keep Space Sqaush because its fun to me. Do what you feel is right!

I can tell you I've sold off a collection or two. Honestly, it makes you realize how much money you've spent on "plastic" and "electronics", that's all it comes down to. There's so much better ways to spend money, but as gamers and/or collectors we use it toward the aforementioned items. Good luck with the sale and I hope you get more money's worth.

I am very sorry to hear about your financial situation, and I would like to help you out as best as I can right now.

If you are interested, I can very likely make you a very generous offer for your Japanese Teleroboxer "Sample for Demo" game as well as your printed material such as flyers. Then, you can decide what all else you may want to try to sell off.

Send me a PM if you would like to hear my offer.

All the best.

So sad. :( Sorry to hear your situation has come to this, but hopefully this sale will give you the leg up you need to re-collect it all. :)

As for me, when I got close to a complete US Box collection, I couldn't stop. As cool as it would be to have, say, a complete NES collection, that's just too much time, money and effort for me. Part of what I love about collecting the VB is that it's pretty easy to get a full set: the stuff's out there, there isn't *too* much of it...

Good luck, mawa. Sorry to hear of the sale, but hopefully everything works out in the end for you.

If by "complete NES collection," you mean a CIB game collection containing all NTSC NES games, I would be surprised if more than 10 people on the planet could ever accomplish that, with primary thanks to Stadium Events. A complete NTSC NES cart-only collection, though, would be much more feasible.

When life comes and gives you problems. You have to do what you have to do, for the people you care about.

Before I traded my collection..I use to have a really hard time just typing online..knowing I had a collection a few feet from me..with the worth of a new car :P.

If I were able to talk to you before you sold it all..I would have said to keep 1 vboy and keep all your games...that's what I've done. All that extra stuff is just extra.
