They are basically just LCD shutters that worked with their own range of graphics cards and produced a 3d image by offsetting the scanlines and showing each eye only one set of scanlines. At least, that is my understanding of it anyway. Was pretty impressive back in the day, and am tempted to put something together so I can give them a go again.

Just wanted to update the people that were interested in how this progressed. I think a picture explains it best. I'm also planning to make a little video explaining the difference I find, which I'll post here when it's ready.

You're right, it sure is! You just really don't see stuff like this much.

I think it's really cool, especially being a huge fan of Gameboy related stuff. I literally don't own a single obscure item, everything I have in the gaming world is pretty common. I have obscure non gaming stuff but that doesn't count.

I've got a couple ideas.

I have a Pin-Bot machine, but what's unique about it is that it is home use only.

Also I have this piece of dawn of the SNES hanging marketing display sign (personal favorite so I sought it out years ago.)

I did have that Sharp NES TV you saw earlier in the thread up until a few years back, sold it off since it was becoming a burden and it was complete (legs, doors, remote, 2 controllers) too.

I do have some really obscure stuff though, but not gaming related. One thing is a toy set from a company that only lasted a few years like 50 years ago and it's still in the box, minor damage to the toys, been notified it's worth around $2K (and I picked it up for $10 at a goodwill which amazes me.)

Thanks, that's impressive however you found that old GBA prototype board, and interesting game glitches there too. Shame the switch for the older GB family wasn't present.
