I go to this store called Game Crazy that sells and buys used games. I went a couple weeks ago and saw someone had traded in their Virtual Boy and it was in their to-do pile, I guess. I went back today and it's for sale. It and 4 of the common games for $130. Geez. I bought five and a Virtual Boy in I think 2008 for $80 at the same store. I don't know whether to laugh at them for putting such a high price at them or cry because I doubt anyone will buy it for that much. Four additional VB games were for sale, with the average price around $10 per game, I guess in case someone like me who already has a Virtual Boy walked in and wanted a game.

We've got one retro shop here in ireland that seems to put a premium on the games they get in. In my experience a bit of haggling is the way to go. Once they can see you know what the price should be a bit of respect should be shown by them.
I picked up five uncommon boxed games the other day, no prices on them but the common loose carts were starting at 7-10 euro each, said to the dude at the counter i'll give ya 30 for the lot, he countered with 35, happy enough with that! Always worth chancing your arm

Game Crazy actually was the name of a chain that used to be attached to Hollywood Video stores. I'm curious as to how long this store has been calling itself Game Crazy.

It's been called that ever since I had started going there, which is at least the mid/late '90s. I am aware of the national Game Crazy stores that were around, but since they closed, I think I can get more used to saying "Game Crazy has such and such," since there are only a few locations that have the name in my area (Salem, Oregon). One in the east part of town, and another in South Salem. I remember first hearing about the national Game Crazy store and saying "I wonder if they'll get confused with our Game Crazy stores..."
