I have the Nintendo Power issue but don't have the glasses. Tried offering the newest one $15 for them and got instantly declined, so I'm assuming he has a pretty high minimum offer set assuming his outrageous buy it now.

$15.00 was a nice offer.

The biggest problem with the first seller is that if he has no clue what the item is worth, how will he know what offers should be accepted? The same, of course, goes for the second seller, who must think that the first seller actually has a chance of selling these at a high amount.

I saw a pair of these glasses sell for $40.00 recently, and I thought that was a ripoff and could not believe that someone actually paid that much for them. The seller who sold the glasses most likely thought that $40.00 was a very high amount and was trying to get the most out of them that he could, and somehow he happened to succeed.

These things are far too common. There were likely hundreds of thousands of these originally made and included with Nintendo Power Issue 75. A good chunk of the Nintendo Power #75 issues being sold on Ebay all the time probably include these glasses in very nice condition, so it would be best to contact a seller who is selling the magazine for a reasonable price and find out if the glasses are included and what their condition is.

I seen these glasses go for around $90 a few months back, without the book!

That's smart to contact the seller. Mine belonged to someone who subscribed to the magazine so he may have them and not realize what they are. I think $40 is a bit high, and $90 definitely is too high (in my opinion). I based the value off the value of the magazine. One would think the glasses would be around the same value (or really less) than the magazine since they're equally as 'rare'.

Guys just to let you know if you want to see the images in "3d" you only have to get a pair of Chromatek glasses http://chromatek.com/. That is if you only want to view them and you don't care if you have the VB glasses.

I was gonna say, "aren't those pretty generic glasses you can buy at museum gift shops or craft stores?" I know I had a pair when issue 75 first came out and gave them to a buddy so we could read the issue at the same time.

But then again, Its all about the Virtual Boy branding I suppose; like those knock-off raybands that said "Virtual Boy" on the side, I would have payed close to $40 bux for those given the chance.

I appreciate you calling me a fool. Apparently you're new to the Internet? I put the BIN at such a ridiculous price to attract attention. I have no intention of selling this for such a high price hence the "Best Offer". I paid about $15 for the glasses and wasn't sure what they were worth since it's been awhile. You never can be too careful as I bought a copy of Wario Land back in 2008 for $5 and got a complete copy of jack Bros. with it for slow shipping on the sellers part. That turned out to be a $200 profit for me and I had no idea what it was worth either.

Maybe you should have concluded that they were worth $15.00.

Its Devil's Advocate time! I wanna go on record and say I believe the asking price is way too high. That being said.

If someone puts something on ebay Virtual boy related. Like these glasses, for $40, $90 or even $999 and some dumb dumb is willing to pay because they don't wanna wait for a pair to show up at $15. {While, I agree its sad that their impatient and wasting their money} Why is it an issue?

If no one wants to spend the money, it will just sit on Ebay forever, not being sold while other ones at lower prices will eventually appear & sell. If people don't want it, they don't have to buy it and the seller asking the high price will just sit there not profiting.

If he does profit, OK, he got what he asked for. It's not like these people can't google or use a computer to find out what these things are worth.

If I wanna sell a box of dog crap for $50 and some dummy will pay me $40 for it, {While a questionable act to do to someone} Isn't that why Ebay is there? To sell a box of junk to whomever for whatever price they'll pay?

Ben is right BTW, most of the issue #75 Nintendo Power Magazine's on Ebay come with the glasses already in them, that's how I got mine, ha!
