I was sure they were gonna do something like a "Nintendo Witch" :p

I've attached a couple of screenshots.

Does anybody know the the rgb hex codes for the Virtual Boy's 3 main shades of red? (I'm going to assume black is #000000)

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

After years of procrastinating I've finally finished my guide for Bound High! You can find this and my other guides at GameFAQs http://www.gamefaqs.com/users/BHodges080/contributions/faqs.

In addition to the walkthrough it contains a Bound High timeline chronicling the history of the game (hopefully it's mostly accurate!).

If you find this or any other of my guides helpful please click the Yes recommend button at the top of the page.

And KR155E, as always feel free to post this to Planet VB.

http://www.joystiq.com/2015/01/30/joy ... sinan-buys-a-virtual-boy/

A British Joystiq editor talks about his quest to buy a Virtual Boy during a ski trip to the US in the mid 90s.

RIP Joystiq 2004-2015

Here's a link with the list:
http://nintendoeverything.com/108451/ ... ntendo-games-of-all-time/

I agree that it does feel slapped together, like they each put together a list of their 20 or so favorites then haphazardly ranked them.

I could easily name ten games you could argue for top 50 that weren't included at all:

- Double Dragon (NES)
- StarTropics (NES)
- Bubble Bobble (NES)
- Super Mario Land (GB)
- Rise of the Phoenix (SNES)
- Wario Land (VB)
- Perfect Dark (N64)
- Eternal Darkness (GCN)
- Resident Evil (DS)
- Okami (Wii)

...and that's not including imports like Mother, Mr. Gimmick, etc.

I do have to give them credit for including #202 on the list, the obscure GBC port of Metal Gear Solid is my favorite Metal Gear game and I would argue it's the best GBC game period.

I've compiled a list of the Virtual Boy mentions in the final issue of Nintendo Power:

- Pg. 38 1994 Year in Review: VR 32 announcement
- Pg. 39 1995 Year in Review: Virtual Boy Arrives
- Pg. 40 1996 Year in Review: Nester's Funky Bowling
- Pg. 49 Canceled Games: Dragon Hopper (screenshot)
- Pg. 63 Former NP staffer Scott Pelland says that several staffers had to be excused from working on VB games due to nausea.
- Pgs. 94 & 95 Nester & Maxwell comic (first and last panels) On the dresser there's a Virtual Boy and a copy of Nester's Funky Bowling.

Unfortunately no VB games were listed in their all time top 285 Nintendo games. The list was skewed towards more recent titles, more than 2/3 were released after 2000.

This is prob a dumb question but how does the patch work, is this something that works with the emulators or can it be patched to the ROM and played on Flashboy.
I am at work so not able to try any thing but if this patches the ROM and can play Mario with the correct keys on Flashboy then that is top speedy fix work fellas, many thanks.

The rom itself is altered so you can run it on an emulator, Flashboy, or whatever.

Here's what I would like to see:

Virtual League Baseball:

Play as the Miracle and Galaxy teams.

Mario Clash:

Be able to select levels 1-99 in level select.

Insmouse:

Fixed item locations.
Turn off monster respawn.

Teleroboxer:

Be able to play as other boxers.

Everything:

TWO PLAYER VIA LINK CABLE!!!
Some games (like Nester's Bowling) would probably be easier than others.

I guess I'll be the first... first reading this thread, I expected this (image attached).

BTW, it seems that this was already known, or similarly experienced: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactic_Pinball . It says just breaking 100 mil locks up though. I suck at the game, so I've definitely never had it happen.

It would be pretty funny to email Nintendo about the bug to see what kind of response they give.

Actually YOU knew about it eight years ago! I had a conversation about it with you and KR155E on the GameFAQs message board. There was a topic about how few bugs there were in VB games and I mentioned my game locked up when I scored 147,537,500 points. Another poster (can't remember who) said that the game regularly locks up when you break 100,000,000.

At least now we know exactly what causes it, maybe I should update my FAQ...
