Welp. Same @speedyink. I was hoping the answer was $500 or $600. Who knows... this dude might have been one of those folks that paid $2000+ or maybe he got it years ago... idk. Well, I guess we will see. If I even get a shot at it all they can say is no and I'm no worse off than I am now, I guess. I want one of these, but not $2000+ bad. Not even close. You can bet I'll post it here first if I do swing a deal though! Thanks for all the input and in advance for anything anyone else adds.

So, I don't have my hopes up yet, but I came across someone elsewhere that said they were considering selling some of their game collection which includes a VB counter display. I was wondering if anyone has a rough guess of what the approximate current going price would be for these. I know the real answer is "whatever we both are happy with", but I don't even know what ballpark to start negotiations in. Sorry for one of these annoying posts, but ideas are appreciated. I just don't want to offer something laughably low, but I don't want to offer a lost$$found absurdly high price either... if I even get a chance at all. Thanks for any input.

For reference, I'm talking about this one (so not the standup one... pic is from the PVB page about it):

Ok, so I knocked off Golf and Panic Bomber, so now the only cart/manual I need to finish my US library of carts and manuals is Vertical Force! If you have either the cart or manual for sale or trade please PM me or respond to this thread.

I don't have much to offer trade-wise, but have and extra Galactic Pinball (loose) and Virtual League Baseball (CIB) if anyone is interested in those. So close!

TLDR;
I'm interested in buying/trading for the below items to finish off the US library for my collection. I'm only interested in original (not repro) items:

-Golf (cart, manual, box)
-Panic Bomber (cart, manual, box)
-Vertical Force (cart, manual, box)
-Jack Bros. (box only - I know that's a long shot)

Complete in Box game offers would be great, but if you have any of the carts, manuals, or boxes I need I'm still interested.

I'd be happy to work out a cash offer but I also have the below items for trade if anyone is interested:
-Waterworld cart and manual
-Galactic Pinball (cart only)
-Virtual League Baseball (cart, box, manual)

Send me a PM or comment here and let's work something out! Pics of the items can be provided upon request including pictures of the actual boards showing that they are indeed original.

------------------------------------------------------
So the longer version of my VB collection story... I bought my VB on clearance at Walmart back when they were clearing them out along with 2 games. I never really had thoughts of getting the whole US catalog. Over the years, I picked up a game here or there when I came across a good deal. A few weeks ago, I got a wild urge to get Waterworld, so I started looking. Thankfully, I got the manual first due to the kindness of a member here but then I got on eBay to finish it off and did that thing us collectors do where when all was said and done, I had extra stuff. Next, a copy of Jack Bros with the manual showed up here for a price that I was happy with so I snatched it up. Then it occurred to me that I was very close to the US catalog and may as well try to finish it off. So here we are...

I'm not sure if he has found a buyer yet, but I just wanted to post that I did a high-value-item deal with Fred and it went off without a hitch. Since I paid first, I was taking the risk, but he was extremely open and confirmed his identity in multiple ways before I sent the payment, so I felt comfortable with the deal.

The game arrived quickly and as described. Unfortunately, numerous life experiences have made me cynical about people I don't know, so the first thing I did was test the game and also open it up to make sure it was an original board. Sure enough, it played great and eveyrthing it was legit.

Based on my communication with Fred and my the deal we made going go smoothly, I recommend him. I'm very happy with our deal and interactions. He genuinely seems like someone just trying to find a good home for their stuff at a reasonable price, so at least for our deal, everyone was happy in the end!

Didn't @RunnerPack make some homebrew flex cables, or am I thinking of something else? Maybe he was working on that? Seems like they were gold colored. Maybe I'm misremembering though. Try asking him or searching his posts maybe, I say, and sorry in advance if I'm incorrect.

Well following up on my earlier post, Mr. Collins is on the case designing a 3D printable box to store VB games. Can anyone with very accurate measurement equipment take the dimensions of a game with the dust cover on it? Iím sending him one so he can do fit checks for his design but getting him the dimensions earlier could help the process along quicker.

I agree with @speedyink. With a rare few exceptions, this community is very supportive and positive. Itís not like he was scamming us or anything and Iím sure he intended to do what he set out to do. Everyone who backs a project like that knows you are taking a risk because it is an individual subject to own constraints and potential personal issues... itís not like we hired Microsoft to write us an application. Itís ok to be disappointed but no need to be mean spirited, I would say.

So just in case y'all didn't see it yet, today Hyperkin dropped a very curious tease on their Twitter and Facebook social media accounts. Sure seems to be VB related...

I just checked and I *did* get charged last month as usual, so I donít think he has cancelled the Patreon. Iíve been backing him since he started with a fair amount in total but he has gone totally dark so itís probably time to pull back. Too bad. I had such high hopes for the project but no updates of any sort for months is no way to maintain your support.
