Welcome back! Hopefully someone here has one that they can spare, but if not RetroDan has said he intends to do another run in the future. He has asked for patience though because his run is not eminent so keep an eye on the below thread if you don't get a board from the community now.

Semi-related... if the battery is no longer holding score and unlocks data, you can manually unlock those modes as well. See the below thread.

Yes, that reeks of scam. $110 is way to low for what's being offered, but too high for "random person ended up with one and doesn't know what it's worth" but the feedback and pictures are a dead giveaway.

Some sort of scam, or at least something very fishy, occurred there. The seller of the $110.00 auction had zero feedback, and that seller used the same photos from this previous auction:

Well done dude... I just logged in so I could post about this. It's not my KS either and I don't own any of his other books, but I did meet him at a game convention last year and flip though a couple of them. He was cool and they seemed very well done, so backing this was a no-brainer for me.

Thanks very much, but I did end up acquiring that game and manual so I'm good. I appreciate the follow-up though.

I have recently acquired a spare vertical force and manual. The cart sticker is faded. No dust cover. I would do 40 shipped paypal goods or I'd knock off whatever the fees are from the price if you wanted to do friends and family. The case pictured is not included.

Yep, that's about right. He did get back to me today, which I appreciate. He was looking for north of $2500, which is apparently not that far off from the eBay prices y'all have shown. So I can't blame him and am glad he actually followed up with me, but I'll never have one if that's what it costs. I want one bad and love the VB dearly, but can't think of any object I collect that I would pay that much for. To each their own though. Guess I'm just going to have you hope one of you wills one to me out of the goodness of your heart (or else I get it at the estate sale) :)

Welp. Same @speedyink. I was hoping the answer was $500 or $600. Who knows... this dude might have been one of those folks that paid $2000+ or maybe he got it years ago... idk. Well, I guess we will see. If I even get a shot at it all they can say is no and I'm no worse off than I am now, I guess. I want one of these, but not $2000+ bad. Not even close. You can bet I'll post it here first if I do swing a deal though! Thanks for all the input and in advance for anything anyone else adds.

So, I don't have my hopes up yet, but I came across someone elsewhere that said they were considering selling some of their game collection which includes a VB counter display. I was wondering if anyone has a rough guess of what the approximate current going price would be for these. I know the real answer is "whatever we both are happy with", but I don't even know what ballpark to start negotiations in. Sorry for one of these annoying posts, but ideas are appreciated. I just don't want to offer something laughably low, but I don't want to offer a lost$$found absurdly high price either... if I even get a chance at all. Thanks for any input.

For reference, I'm talking about this one (so not the standup one... pic is from the PVB page about it):

Ok, so I knocked off Golf and Panic Bomber, so now the only cart/manual I need to finish my US library of carts and manuals is Vertical Force! If you have either the cart or manual for sale or trade please PM me or respond to this thread.

I don't have much to offer trade-wise, but have and extra Galactic Pinball (loose) and Virtual League Baseball (CIB) if anyone is interested in those. So close!

TLDR;
I'm interested in buying/trading for the below items to finish off the US library for my collection. I'm only interested in original (not repro) items:

-Golf (cart, manual, box)
-Panic Bomber (cart, manual, box)
-Vertical Force (cart, manual, box)
-Jack Bros. (box only - I know that's a long shot)

Complete in Box game offers would be great, but if you have any of the carts, manuals, or boxes I need I'm still interested.

I'd be happy to work out a cash offer but I also have the below items for trade if anyone is interested:
-Waterworld cart and manual
-Galactic Pinball (cart only)
-Virtual League Baseball (cart, box, manual)

Send me a PM or comment here and let's work something out! Pics of the items can be provided upon request including pictures of the actual boards showing that they are indeed original.

------------------------------------------------------
So the longer version of my VB collection story... I bought my VB on clearance at Walmart back when they were clearing them out along with 2 games. I never really had thoughts of getting the whole US catalog. Over the years, I picked up a game here or there when I came across a good deal. A few weeks ago, I got a wild urge to get Waterworld, so I started looking. Thankfully, I got the manual first due to the kindness of a member here but then I got on eBay to finish it off and did that thing us collectors do where when all was said and done, I had extra stuff. Next, a copy of Jack Bros with the manual showed up here for a price that I was happy with so I snatched it up. Then it occurred to me that I was very close to the US catalog and may as well try to finish it off. So here we are...
