This is awesome!! Glad to see a game like this on Virtual Boy! One of my favorite game series, the LISA series, is heavily influenced by Yume Nikki. This is really cool!

I was browsing eBay and found a boxed copy of Wario Land that came with these. Has anyone seen these before? Maybe instructions a certain business printed?

I was watching MetalJesusRocks's new video on his trip to Japan game hunting, and for a few seconds in one of the stores you can see a Virtual Boy Display. It looks like the headset is missing though? It is at 14:10.

I remember seeing a video like this years ago and cringing. I just felt uneasy seeing one destroyed like that.

I dont know why people feel the need to make these videos. Everyone was praising him in the comments too. I watched it til the end though and he showed that he didnt destroy the working one where both eyes looked completely fine (like I thought he did) , just a for parts one headset only.

If you don't want to support it just use adblocker to watch his video ;)

Never noticed this until now, read it as 'secret', then I was like wait no its a misspelling of 'select'.

I have always wondered why some Blockbuster rental cases have the label on right side up, and some have it on upside down. Defined as holding the case up by the handle, where right side up is the sticker being able to be read and upside down is the sticker being upside down. I have heard it may be because the employees at Blockbuster were the ones who put the stickers on? I'm curious as to how many there are of each kind. I'll leave a list here of each kind, starting with mine. Mine came from a store in Plantation Florida. I have also attached the code that was on the Blockbuster sticker.

Right side up:

I was thinking about making a list of games that are not on Virtual Boy, but related to the Virtual Boy in some way. Also, the games should be released relatively around the time of the Virtual Boy. This is what I have so far:

Game Boy:
Chalvo 55
Faceball 2000
Wario Land series - RetroDan
Waterworld (PAL Exclusive) - Splain

Genesis:
Blockout - Camera

SNES:
Waterworld (PAL Exclusive)

Super Famicom:
Panic Bomber(Japan Exclusive) - Camera

PC Engine:
Panic Bomber(Japan Exclusive) - Camera

PC:
Welltris - SpectreVR

N64:
Mario Tennis - RetroDan

PlayStation 1:
Jockey Zero - Benjamin Stevens (Also referenced in this article that "The developers later used some of the game's mechanics in the PS1 game Jockey Zero": https://lostmediawiki.com/Virtual_Jockey_(lost_build_of_unreleased_Virtual_Boy_game;_1996) )

Geom Cube - Camera

Various systems:
SD Gundam Series, many installments - RetroDan

Games that Reference VB:

Mutant Mudds - 3DS: Red and black hidden level, in 3D as well -jrronimo

Nintendo Labo - JoePassive

Retro City Rampage - Various Platforms. Virtual Super Meat Boy Stage - Lester Knight

WarioWare - Mario Clash micro-game

What else would belong here?

With the entire emulation core implemented, with the experience of producing the emulator of my dreams, and with a sigh of relief, I'm finally freed up to do other things. I won't be abandoning this project--far from it--but as of this latest update, it is no longer my primary spare-time focus. I'll still work on it from time to time when other things don't have my attention, but since interest in this project is very low, there are other things I want to be doing that I've been putting off.

The remaining window menus will be implemented in the coming weeks, but I won't be sticking too strongly to my Wednesday update schedule like I have been for the past couple of months. If someone is keenly interested in something that can't be clicked on, I'd be happy to prioritize it to make it available, but if it's just a matter of "it's not done yet", then I'll get to it when I get to it. (-:

As for what I will be doing, there's 1) a long-neglected project with some other PVB members I'd like to get the ball rolling on, 2) something I want to do with Wario Land and 3) something related to NES that I'd like to keep a complete secret until the time comes.

For those who have stuck with me through all of this, thank you for your patience and thank you for your financial support. Planet Virtual Boy's emulator is becoming something great and that means the world to me.

This is great news about your other projects! Looking forward to all of them!! Thank you for all that you do.
