I'll report back and let you guys know if it fits and has the depth needed for the deep screws.

I ended up buying that one as well. It succeeded in getting the screws out, although I had to force it in a little bit to remove the two screws near the part that attaches to the VB stand. Didn't damage the plastic at all, though.

Man, that's a hell of a lot of money to spend on a Virtual Boy case. You really are dedicated.

I'd be interested in buying some of those parts. Check your PM inbox.

The bit is too thick to fit into the hole. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a dremel or grinder to file the bit down with.

Regular Bic pens are too wide to fit into the hole.

Hello again,

As some of you may have read earlier, I had ordered a gamebit so I could open up my VB and fix that annoying cable problem. The website I ordered from advertised their bit as being able to open VB systems, and had been mentioned on several gaming forums. The bit arrived today, and sadly to say that is not the case. The bit doesn't reach far enough into the holes to grip the screws. Contacting their support has been useless as well. Please don't buy from these shysters. Now I'm upset, out ten bucks, and I STILL CAN'T OPEN MY FUCKING VIRTUAL BOY.

Surprisingly, it does a fine job of holding the VB without that clip. Unless you hold it upside-down or something.

Unfortunately I bought it second-hand, and the piece that broke had been lost a long time ago. Ebay hasn't yielded any results either, aside from buying another system.

Looking for a spare VB stand piece

I was wondering if anybody could help me get ahold of a small plastic clip for the Virtual Boy stand. The clip on mine is broken, and while it isn't necessary for the VB to be held securely on the stand, I'd still like to replace it. Does anyone have an unused or broken stand with a piece they could spare? I've attached a picture of the broken piece in question. Thanks.
