Hello! I have a non-working Virtual Boy unit, in that it displays nothing but lines. It was in working condition for a month, but now it doesn't display anything. I don't want to buy a new Virtual Boy, and I don't want to open the system up because I have no actual skills to fix it. I'm looking for someone with the skills to fix it for me. I would pay for shipping, of course.

Price: $50 (Minimum)

I dont think it really matters what game it is, it would just be nice if we could get hold of copys of these games. i just dont see the point of holding onto them in a secret world, share the wealth!

This. If I had the means to be a hardcore prototype collector, I would absolutely share the wealth with the community. What the heck is the point of paying thousands of dollars for these things if they're just going to collect dust, while dozens of hardcore fans clamor for the chance to play the thing? It's ridiculous.

I played the 3DS for the first time today, and I was really blown away. I seriously doubt Nintendo will port any Virtual Boy games to a Virtual Console service simply because there's only a handful of games and a handful of fans. Nintendo doesn't really revisit commercial failures, regardless of how popular said failure may have grown through word-of-mouth. A prime example would be the MOTHER/EarthBound series. If they just put EarthBound up on the VC, it would literally print money with minimal effort. But alas...

I think if they somehow did a recolor of the graphics, and then marketed it as revamped classics or something, it would be rad. Imagine full-color VB Wario Land. 'Sup, wishful thinking!?

That is so sexy. That's the main qualm I have with the Virtual Boy, because my posture is terrible enough as it is, and this completely fixes it. I'm extremely envious of your craftiness.

Thanks, but I can't take the credit for the idea. There are other posters on here who have done this before with equipment they had laying around. I didn't happen to have a spring arm around the house so I figured out the cheapest way I could do it and it ended up working pretty well. It's kind of funny though, as soon as I finished this, the VB that you see in the pictures got the glitchy screen problem.

Oh, no! That's terrible! :[ Yeah, the Virtual Boy I ordered off of eBay last month got damaged during shipping, so the left eye gets really wonky during Mario's Tennis, but just gets horizontal lines in Wario Land. Weird. The seller swore up and down that he didn't ship me a broken product, so thanks, UPS. ini

Thank you! Yeah, it's such a shame how Nintendo alienated him from the company even though it wasn't his fault. And, of course, the car accident. The worst things happen to the best.
