Oh, I was thinking that it was a scam where the buyer and seller are in it together. Buyer needs to move money somewhere else, seller "sells" something, so the money gets transferred - but you don't bother to send anything because you're only making the transaction in order to launder the money you're sending. (though, at $100 per sale roughly, that seems kind of stupid lol)

I wonder what the scam is? Some form of money laundering? It's not like he's driving prices up....(or the impression of what the prices are)

I wonder if it's just the box that's fake or also the cart...

Not sure I'd pay $10 for a page from a magazine...

Anybody know what magazine it's from?

Hi,

So there's an auction on for this ad: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-BLOC ... 8df614:g:~z0AAOSwlpZaV99V

(also attached)

Does anyone know from what magazine it's from? I'm surprised to see Blockbuster offering other rentals with a coupon making it the same price as the VB rentals... (note that the coupon only applies to Sega Saturn and Playstation!)

Hi Everyone!

Here's a scan from the Spanish (Spain) edition of Club Nintendo that has a brief note on VB's announcement at Shohinkai. It's from issue 8, Dec/Jan 94/95on page 17.

I've translated (from Spanish) here:

Nintendo has chosen the 6th edition of the "Annual Shohinkai Software Exhibition", celebrated in Tokyo this past November, to announce the upcoming launch of VIRTUAL BOY: the first virtual reality system developed and produced for domestic use.

Virtual Boy is a system that is not connected to a television. It works with 6 AA batteries. Additionally, among other things, the following accessories will be made available for sale separately: an AC adapter and a rechargeable battery.

They system, based on a 32-bit RISC microprocessor, uses two high resolution LEDs (light emitting diodes) and "mirror scanning" to produce a 3D experience that is impossible to reproduce on a conventional television or LCD screen.

We are talking about a machine that, for a price similar to that of a 16 bit console, will immerse the player in an incredible three-dimensional experience that is enhanced by a powerful stereo sound and a new controller.

This product will be presented at the next CES in Las Vegas in January of next year and will be launched in the United States and Japan in April/May of 95. Three titles will be presented together with the machine and 2 to 3 titles are expected to be released every month.

Ah, yes!

I don't suppose anyone has the 3D model of the cart either?
