I found a broken link on Planet Virtual boy site. If you go to Hardware => Store Displays => Design Phase (or link below)

http://www.vr32.de/modules/hardware/i ... ype=displays&model=dphase

Where it makes reference to free-hanging store signs, the link inside (more here) points to:

http://www.vr32.de/modules/pvb2/frame ... bung/merchandise/3d_sign/

It gets a 404 not found.

Also not mine (tm):

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Virtual- ... ase_W0QQitemZ250177779431

All USA games except for Jack Bros + some manuals + hard case + many stuff, $325 for it.

Almost a quick way to start a collection

complete Waterworld, BIN $74.95 or start bidding at 1 cent, probably one of the 2 rarest USA VB games.

Not mine BTW

I have a copy of Red Alarm with demo and not for resale label. I see Wario Land version on eBay from time to time but Red Alarm seems virtually nonexistent so I'm guessing it's rarer?

As I'm in need of money to replace my blown up computer ($250 to $300 for decent CPU, mobo, and RAM) plus the money to get Flash Boy, I may have to sell my #1 rarest collectible game (unless someone donates me $500 )

I got it by accident long ago from Target store when a friend of mine was cleaning out old stocks and old display stuff, he found the game. he was about to throw it out as VB stuff wasn't worth anything back then and I just happened to run into him. I spotted the game and asked him about it, he gave it to me. He couldn't do anything about the larger VB display that had Wario Land game since it was still on display.

Impossible to destroy anything on web sites. People could have downloaded and archived them and even host them on their own web sites. The real issue is trying to avoid Nintendo's totalitarian copyright police.

I wanted one when they first came out and I tried the store demo but they were expensive. Then in late 96 my local store had the entire stock on clearance sale. VB unit new for only 30 dollars. In the few months, I was able to get all 14 games new mostly from Toys R us when they marked the games as low as $3 each plus the AC tap and a 3rd party carry case. I figure I spent less than $100 on the set.

I still own the set. :)

Sadly it's a common problem with the Virtual Boy. The flex cable that is connected to the LED array is held on by glue and the glue can fail either from time, excess heat, or from physical abuse (ie dropping) The fix is easy if you have the right tool though.

First time poster here but put me down for one Flash Boy :) I came from AA forum (I see a few familiar faces here!) I also posted a link to someone's eBay auction that had 46 Virtual Baseball games a few days ago so dunno who really got it but it would mean 46 cart connector and shells to make more FBs The auction has ended: 280161819686 and the final price plus shipping would put the price of Baseball at $1.65 each, very cheap even for a VB game.

Right now I'm trying to put my store display back together and get it cleaned. if the USB cable for flash cart fits inside and I can find a cheap USB device or cheap laptop with USB I could change game and leave it as display. My display is the counter version like: http://www.vr32.de/modules/hardware/i ... phase&sub=counter_version
