Hi,

I'm way behind on my reading and just got to the Summer 2011 issue of Kill Screen magazine. It has a nice piece by Jon Irwin called "Seeing Red"... I don't recall seeing this mentioned here, but I've scanned it in (poorly, sorry...) and will be uploading it soon. (it's a 15MB pdf...).

I liked the additional history behind the tech I wasn't aware of)

What do you recommend for creating the bgmaps? (I had assumed that VIDE was the way to go...) Any particular recommendations or other tools to use?

Aha! That one DID work!

I think I'll have to figure out what's going on with the different libraries then? Thanks for the example, I'm glad to know that it can actually compile SOMETHING. :-)
