Wow you guys put me to shame. Here I thought I had a decent start, hahaha. Still, can't wait to show you what I got when it comes in. It's in beautiful shape.

Btw bigmak, you had a picture of a Japanese VB box, but it was all in black and white instead of a full color shot. What's with that? Is that an early run or a store display box, or what? Very nice collection though both of you!

I wasn't waiting to the last second or anything actually on that auction. My timer was showing 5 minutes left and was counting down. When I hit refresh, the auction was over. Still don't know what that was about. I haven't had timer issues before and since.

But yeah, I'm happy I got this Japanese console for such a great price. It was a buy it now auction.. i didn't screw anyone by sniping lol. I prefer not doing auctions anyway as I hardly ever win. But yeah, like you I'm almost glad I missed out on the blockbuster VB. I think I'll enjoy this import boxed VB a lot more. So.. it works out the way it should sometimes :).

Figured it would be nice to see everyone's systems and game/accessory collections. I'm quite curious to see how many of the VBs on these forums are in good condition, and how many Blockbuster, retail display, japanese, etc kits there are among us.

Regrettably I sold the VB in my avatar many years ago after I first joined. I think I sold it to then fund the purchase of a new phat DS. Bad move.

I've just gotten back into the VB scene after missing it so much. I just purchased a Japanese console in mint condition, boxed. Can't wait to share with everyone. I also bought a secondary head unit only because I thought I was going to be buying a VB set that had a defective head unit (I got out of that deal). I think I'll be taking the spare apart and using it as parts for my Japanese model. Maybe have the ribbon cables soldered for when the Japanese model's go bad.

So I'll be posting my pictures soon. I have quite a few games already, which I'll show when I get the console pics up.

But everyone else can start ahead of me. Let's see those VBs!

I am looking for a flashboy+ cart (with or without box). I have seen these going for $150 on ebay. I just played mine today, works great. The only issue is the sticker on the cart isnt 100%. It looks like when I bought it when VB was new, it was a rental cart and it had some kind of security sticker on it.

So basically, I want to trade my Jack bros cart for your flashboy+

Either way, its a long shot, but I am just throwing it out there!

If you're willing to sell the Jack Bros cart, so you can use the money towards buying a Flash Boy, let me know as I'm interested. Also, pics of the cart might be a good idea since it's not in mint condition.

Well, I just bought a boxed Japanese VB in mint condition instead! Got it for only 118 bucks. Couldn't be happier right now :). I'll be sure to add the serial number to the list once I receive it. :)

I just lost out on a really nice looking blockbuster set. My eBay timer glitched out and it went for 15 bucks less than my bid would have been. Just really depressed about it. I already have a couple VBs, but man this one was so nice. I hate losing auctions I've been watching for 6 days. It's like a kick in the gut.

Is that game normally that much money? Not really worth it...then again none of the rare expensive VB games are worth it, haha.

Hey, count me on board for this. This is what I assumed the Flash Boy would be, but wasn't. Still great to have, but this would be infinitely better! One SD card with everything in one place.. sounds like heaven.

How much longer till you think the board will be fully functional? Are you close?

Best of luck. Please let us know when you'll have pre orders up as you can count me on the list, no matter the price.

Hello,

I am not sure if this has been asked before...and I didn“t find anything specific on it yet.

Has anyone had troubles aligning the two displays again?
How is that done? I haven“t found a procedure on my search.

Just curios about that, since there“s only one possibly way to re-install the screens (e.g. after a repair). So I am not sure if that ever happens...

Anyone?

Have you tried letting the system auto align them for you?

To quote another site:

"put any game in the Virtual Boy, turn your VB on, and when the game is on the title screen press: LEFT(on the right side of the control pad), B, DOWN(on the right side of the control pad), A, UP(on the right side of the control pad). If you did this correct any healthy(read: well functioning) Virtual Boy will show a screen with one horizontal line and two separate vertical lines crossing eachother."
