An Amazing Futuristic Boxing Game
Autor: Red Metal | Datum: 23.07.2013 | Wertung: 10/10

Gameplay: The gameplay is ever similar to that of Punch-Out for the NES and one could say the game is like a sequel to it. However this game is in first person, unlike that of Punch-Out, this gives it an amazing 3-D feel to it. The fists fly out at you making it feel like you’re really there. Another aspect that is cool is that the human controllers of the Teleroboxers are similar to characters in popular works of science fiction. Johnny Bysel looks like a Mad Max punk. Big Rick looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger from the Running Man. Cheri Freneal is similar to Pris from Blade Runner and DH. 1 looks like the 2-1B from Star Wars Episode 5. It’s a nice little touch that shows the effort and thought that was put into this game.

Controls: The dual D-pad design works perfectly for this one. Each controls where to punch and each trigger controls each fist. It is every tight and easy to control even for new players of the VB.

Music: The stereo tunes that emit from the Virtual Boy are both catchy and intense during the heat of battle. I can guarantee after playing this game you will be humming at least one of the songs. Some of my favorite tracks include “Dorihey”, “Improve Your Record” and “Spokong”. Overall, the music is weel done and uses the Vb’s sound chip great.

Overall: I gave this game a 10 out of 10 because it is fun, has great music and anyone can pick up and play this one.
