Yes, this is the same seller, a member of NintendoAge that I've spoken with privately about the game. He knows absolutely nothing about Virtual Boy protos or collecting and admits as much. His reasoning for this high price was "I don't know much about the VIrtual Boy, but I know it's obscure so I priced this proto around the same as one would price a TurboGrafx16 proto", or something to that effect. So he doesn't know what he has, and doesn't know what it is (or isn't) worth.

That's funny I spoke to him too, but on a different forum. I got the exact same answer.

I guess this one deserves to be noteworthy, although really expensive.

Oh wow that's very cool, I've never seen the 6' VB kiosk with Japanese-language panels before, I thought Japan only had the modest countertop displays. Eek, that price is through the roof though. I imagine shipping to anywhere other than Japan would be a serious issue as well. Either way, extremely cool item!

Doesn't appear to have the footplate.

Nope, no footplate. Pretty steep for a (slightly) incomplete unit.

I would do anything to get any TYPE of Virtual Boy Kiosk Machine. Though that is pretty expensive. To bad I won't able to afford one like that :(
