So, I bought a Virtual Boy at a flea market yesterday.
So far, it's working perfectly, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Storing it, though, worries me a little.
What's the best/safest way to store it to ensure minimal damage to anything inside that could break?
I've already been told that it can't "take a bang," but is there anything else I should be aware of??
Thanks to all!!!
Congrats on a great purchase, flea market eh, go one then how much, make us >$150 folks jealous.
Now they are a little fragile but saying that I live in the UK, mine is from Japan, its 16 years old and i doubt been transported delicately, so the occasional accidental knock shouldn't cause worry.
Really just keep it safe, away from small sticky handed children and the other usual console killers, and maybe make sure you are the only one to assemble and play it.
I keep mine in a soft bag, was actually for the Wii, it fits well and sits on a shelf, its only me who uses it and i have never had the glitchy display problem (although I'm sure in time i will be treated to it one day). I have pondered making a hard case for it, but only cos it would look good, maybe one day i will and I'll post the design.
Anything else to be aware of, just don't go twisting the IPD and sliding the focus back and forth for a laugh, set it up, leave it. Although now i think of it some folks here do say keep the IPD all the way to the left (I think left) when storing.
Enjoy your VB for the beauty it can give, one more seen the (red) light.
