In my (old) 3DS XL (11.4) browser however, I couldn't even open Youtube. It always times out when trying to open the link and I get an error regarding the page's size.
Interesting - I get the same error on my OLD 3ds, but I thought it's due to it's very outdated system software (which I didn't want to update yet for testing reasons).
So, looks like the OLD 3ds' browser isn't able at all to open youtube pages anymore ...

I have two Euro NEW 3ds, both playing the 3d version correctly.
And one Japanese NEW 3ds that doesn't load the Youtube page with an error message in Japanese (which I can't read) that redirects me to a help page on nintendo.co.jp ...

I'm using a New 3DSXL with version 11.5.0-38U. I was able to watch the 3D videos you linked no problem along with VectrexRoli's 3D videos.
OK, thanks for the info! Happy to tell that 11.5 isn't the problem - still runs on my new 3DS XL (EU) after updating

I've made a new 'offtopic' thread (including a poll) and suggest to continue the discussion on Youtube 3D problems there:

Troubles with YouTube 3D videos

This thread/poll is following this post:
http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb ... t_id=37583#forumpost37583

At least two users reported troubles with this YouTube 3d video:
https://youtu.be/CfQcC1-muO4

Maybe we can find out what the problem is by using polls - for the first poll, please test the above video with your windows- and 3DS-browsers!

EDIT: Please remember / note down the versions your using! So we can track down version issues with a second poll (once we have some results on which platforms are affected) ...

-------------------------------

This is how it works for me:

3DS-Browser:
- It was running on my Euro new 3DS XL with system software 11.4
- and still does after updating to 11.5 (see photos attached before and after update)

Firefox browser: for windows (54.0 / latest)
- it works for me at least in anaglyph mode (but with swapped left and right views)

I believe
But at least, you made something happen with your investment. AND created a job when some talented guy needed one.

How much did you pay StereoBoy?

I paid around $85.

Wow - that must be some days ago ...
Actually, I'm ashamed to tell ...

It definetely was too much for a video game (knowing that poverty is a major problem to the inhabitants of planet earth). But anyway HF is also an awesome "document" to me as a 3D stuff collector, showing what communities are able to do with an underrated 3d device.
I also argued to myself, I'd be able to sell it later for the same price - so the money would have been more like a deposit. But I don't want to sell it anyway ...
And finally, it also was my birthday when I bought it. And I had worked very hard on differen't things the weeks before - so I consider it as a gift to myself
I also do regulary donations for non-profit organizations ... so, conscience washed clean again, haha ...

I doubt that I will invest a similar sum again for a game ... well - but maybe to support an upcoming, awesome homebrew project ...?
I think, that would be more reasonable ...

However just to let you know that through ProMotion NG "smart drawing" by drawing curves you can do real 3d animations, and game graphics without the need of modeling in 3d or rotoscoping.
I know - You already showed me
I surely will use it when a find some time to do some 3D pixel art!

Strange ... it's working on my new 3DS (with system software version 11.4). Region settings doesn't seem to be the problem - all 4 videos are available worldwide, my Youtube account says.
- Which 3DS system software are You using?
- Did you try other Youtube/Youtube3D videos?
You can find more 3D videos here: https://www.youtube.com/user/3D

Right now Hyper Fighting is probably my most valuable game.

Same here. I paid a crazy price for the CIB. But I don't mind, as I know where the money went. And if it's becoming available more easy soon, I could even afford a multi player copy

I asked Mr. Anon to add him as an easter egg for ROM hackers.

I'm not a programmer, but I like easter eggs ... and THAT was a nice one

I've brightened the screenshot with Ben & Lucky a bit ...

I just wanted to add that I got my price and that I would have never guessed that this is possible. Very cool, thanks allot.

I don't need to know this. I don't need to know this. I don't need to know this. Oh come on, please - what is it??
Does it have to do with that hidden content patch?
Pleeeaaase!

Looking at the final ROM, I think KR155E's idea to port it to VB was a very good one. I wouldn't have had that idea my self - one reason is, I wouldn't have expected that it's possible to play video sequences on a nintendo device of that age (even if it's just 5 fps).

Another reason is, I wouldn't have expected that the drawing style of DKS still looks good in VB format - too low resolution and too few colors for the drawing details, I would have thought. But viewing the first test images, I was suprised how nice it looks.

I really think 3d is a main reason, why these images still look so nice in lower resolutions ...
